Ownership. Carnatic Sadhana, Shruti Sadhana and the other apps on this site, including their code, design, raga data, audio and recordings, are owned by Shyam Sundar Venkat and protected by copyright.

Permitted use. You may use the apps for your own music practice and teaching. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, republish or redistribute the apps or any part of them, or use them to build a competing product, without written permission.

Your privacy. The apps listen to your microphone only while you are practising. Your voice is analysed on your own device; it is not recorded, uploaded or stored. Practice settings and scores are kept only in your browser. The site counts visits and basic usage anonymously using GoatCounter, with no cookies and no personal details.

No warranty. The apps are practice aids, provided as they are. Scores are a guide and not a substitute for a teacher. We are not liable for any loss arising from their use.

Changes. These terms may be updated; the date above shows the latest version.
